Nevada Wing celebrated 80 years of service in 2021
Nevada Wing of the Civil Air Patrol is the highest echelon in the state of Nevada and was chartered on December 1, 1941. Nevada Wing contributed to the state and nation through search and rescue (SAR) and military support roles during the Second World War. Since then, Nevada Wing has provided search and rescue (SAR) capabilities throughout the nation’s seventh largest state. Following is some of Nevada Wing's notable history and events:
