Ski Unit
Nevada Wing also sought to recruit cross-country skiers and snowshoers to aid in search and rescue missions, intelligence work, and other functions in mountainous areas where there is deep snow. The minimum age to apply was 21 and required a statement from a competent physician confirming the applicant was in good physical condition. This unit was part of the motorized/mechanized unit ground teams.
