Pacific Region Cadet Color Guard Competition

Pacific Region Cadet Color Guard Competition

By 2nd Lt. Mark Silver, CAP
PAO, Reno Composite Squadron NV-054

On the 22nd & 23rd April, 2017 the Pacific Region Cadet Color Guard Competition was held at Camp Stead, Reno, Nevada. It was a weekend busy with activity by 10 cadet teams from the entire Pacific Region. Uniform inspection, Uniform building, team problem solving, written tests, physical fitness, and both indoor and outdoor presentation of the flag filled the agenda. After the dust settled and the scores posted, 2 California Wing teams, Skyhawks Composite Squadron 47 (First place) and Diablo Composite Squadron 44 (Second place) will be moving on to the national competition in early July at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

It was a privilege to watch the teamwork and dedication of all the cadets in performing all the required tasks. You are left with great pride in these programs knowing patriotism is alive and well in our region.
